NCVC 2026 Sunny Von Bülow Advocate Academy Application
Thank you for your interest in the Advocate Academy! We aim to empower those harmed by crime to begin the journey to help and empower others. A couple of things to note:
- The programming is scheduled to take place from 9am-5pm on Tuesday, September 8th at the Hilton Chicago in Chicago, IL. Virtual attendance is not possible.
- The application deadline is Wednesday, July 1st. Accepted applicants will be notified by Friday, July 24th.
- This academy aims to provide entry-level education for individuals who have experienced victimization and are interested in victim advocacy. As such, applicants must meet the following requirements for attendance:
  - Have experienced any type of victimization.
  - Have less than five (5) years of advocate experience (please note no prior experience is required).
- Please note that hotel and travel are not included. Participants will receive breakfast and lunch during the training.
- The content of this training will be aimed at victim advocates in Illinois and the Midwest. While there are no geographical restrictions on registration or attendance, please take this into consideration when applying.
- Registration to the 2026 National Training Institute (NTI) is not covered for attendees, but attendees will receive a $150 discount on registration.
